Decisions and changes

Composition and coming up with a title for my painting was almost as challenging as painting the male and female Superb Fairywren.

Then I decided to change the drawing – I changed the gate, instead of painting two males and females, I painted one of each and drew the female on a branch.

More work done on the female bird and I started the gate.

More progress

…and then I ran into difficulty making decisions about the composition.  I painted and cut out leaves and placed them in various positions to help me decide my next step.

Finished painting.  I decided to name it “Meet Me at the Gate”.  What do you think? Do you like the title and composition?
