Happy New Year!

I crept out of the house at 5:30 am and made my way to Salamanca Market. My next-door-neighbour stallholder’s boot of her car closed on her when she was unloading. Not to worry, I rescued her, and we both managed to set up our stalls without further incident.

My first customer of the day was from the Gold Coast, and she bought an original painting of a little wombat enamoured with feathers, titled, “Feather Spotting” and a print titled “Entanglement”.

A family that has moved from Sydney to Tranmere, Tasmania purchased three prints to hang in their new home: “Devilish Siesta”, “Hanging Out” and “Dinner for Five???”. She works remotely so she was able to bring her job with her.

I met a Flemish couple from Belgium. They bought a greeting card for friends that are getting married and a Bunk Beds card for a friend that is expecting her 5^th child. A “Bunk Beds” print was purchased by a student from Columbia, South America, studying in Sydney.

A lady visiting from Sydney purchased “Afternoon Siesta” print. She saw a wombat in the wild at Cradle Mountain, Tasmania. She said her friend is taking up yoga to de-stress and that she tells her to just be a wombat, they have no stress.

A lady purchased an urban sketch that I did on location of Bellerive Beach, Tasmania and a “Maggie” and “The Three Amigos II” print.

It was nice that Hobart turned on the sun for all the visitors, international and local today.
