Once again, it was a fun day at the market. My first customer of the day was from Sydney, and she was heading home today, with a “Three Amigos II” print. She finished the Three Capes walk yesterday and had spectacular weather for it.

A mum and son, also from Sydney, purchased a “Spiky Bunk Beds” print. I painted the spikes poking through the two bottom hammocks. The son’s favourite part of his holiday was watching the Hobart Hurricanes play a Big Bash League game at the Blundstone Oval in Bellerive, on the eastern shore of Hobart.

A couple from Bannockburn, Victoria, https://www.victorianplaces.com.au/bannockburn purchased “Hayride”, “Dinner for Five???”, “Regal”, “Who says emus can’t fly!?” and a “Salamanca Fresh” tote bag. Later in the day, they returned and bought more prints.

A lady bought “Silent Disco”. She loves penguins and saw them coming ashore in Burnie, Tasmania.

“Meet Me at the Gate” is going to London and “Spiky Bunk Beds”, “Devilish Siesta” and “Salamanca Fresh” is going to Somerset, England.

A couple from Dallas, Texas, asked me if I had any prints of a ‘bin chicken’ (an Australian ibis). I showed them the original I had, which they purchased, along with “Iconic Aussies”, “The Three Amigos II” and “Morning Melodies” prints. Then a couple from Queensland, asked me if I had any bin chickens!! I haven’t had anybody ask me about bin chickens for years and then two in one day!

A young woman bought the original painting of an urban sketch I did of a grand house in Hobart.

Then a lady, from Israel, involved with the Hobart International Tennis Tournament, https://www.hobartinternational.com.au/ purchased “Bunk Beds” and “Salamanca Saturdays” prints.

A couple from Atlanta, Georgia, USA are returning with “Enchanted Forest II” and “Dinner for Five???” prints. A mother visiting from Switzerland, bought “A Spot of Happiness” and “Piggyback” prints. She’s flying back on Tuesday with a baby who has just started walking.

It was a busy and hot day, so it was nice to get home and put my feet up.
Until next week, take care and have fun being creative.
Warmest regards, Patricia (PJ) Hopwood-Wade
